Customers attended the new Arnold Clark head office at Hillington for a welcome event on 8th June.
Guests were welcomed with refreshments and a tour around the new purpose-built facilities. The impressive space houses the various arms of the Arnold Clark Group including Arnold Clark Insurance Services, Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental, Sales and Aftersales and of course ACVM.
David Cooper, Managing Director, welcomed guests with an introduction to the company. He commented on the change from the company’s previous premises on St George’s Road, and how much the surroundings have improved. David continued that there is now a huge focus on digital elements in the fleet business and the marketing of which so it is even more important that our Digital Development departments are close to the Marketing department as well as Directors.
David said, ‘We are a family business, we shall keep that ethos in everything we do. We try to accommodate all of our customers, not everything works for all. For some it’s contract hire, for others it’s contract purchase.’
Also speaking on the day was David Rawlings from BCF Wessex who was discussing the evolution of the company car market over the last 16 years and informed the audience that there are 1 million people in the UK with company cars. He spoke about current company car trends and how effects on the environment and taxation have had an impact on the market.
Finally he introduced Gensen, the online toolkit designed to ease company car selection and management processes.
